CLINICAL PEARLS
Have patients weigh themselves daily and report weight gains of >2 lb in a day or 5 lb above
dry weight.
β-Blockers, ACE-I, and aldosterone antagonists are the core medications for management of
chronic HF.
Consider referral for biventricular pacing in patients with LBBB and ICD in those with low
EF.
