Born in Boston, MA, Kuvaja was raised in coastal Maine, where she earned her degree from Maine College of Art and eventually moved to rural western Maine, where she currently paints in a studio in the woods. Her work is shown in galleries and art venues in northern New England, online, and is collected internationally.
