Investigate The Feast of the Caterpillars (1) - Eat as Much as You Want!
A caterpillar is feeding on a leaf on its way home. In the figure below,
each square represents a section of the leaf. The number next to the
caterpillar indicates the number of squares that the caterpillar must pass
through.
Example
The caterpillar can only move left, right, up,
or down.
A caterpillar cannot pass through a section
which another caterpillar has already passed
5 through.
The caterpillar wants to eat five leaf
sections. Therefore, the caterpillar must
pass through five leaf sections to go home.
Draw a path for each caterpillar below such that it gets to eat as much
as it wants on its way home according to the rules.
