Example After selling cookies, Kate needed to go home by going over three
hills. However, a robber appeared on every hill and said that he
would not hurt her if she gave him two more than half of the
remaining cookies. After Kate went over three hills and arrived
home, there was only one cookie left. How many cookies did Kate
have at first after selling them in the market?
