Materials: Number Battle board, 4 Number chip sets (0-9),
Fraction die activity sheet
Let’s make equivalent fractions.
Number 1. Make a fraction die by using the fraction die activity sheet and prepare four
Battle number chip sets from 0 to 9 except 7.
2. Each player takes one number set and puts the chips in the slot on the board. Place
the remaining two number chip sets in the middle of the board.
3. Decide who will go first. One player rolls the die.
4. Each player makes a fraction equivalent to the fraction on the rolled die by using
his/her number chips. You can use as many chips as you want and you can also use
the chips in the middle of the board.
5. The two players check the fractions.
6. Place all the used chips down if you make a fraction correctly. If not, put them back
in the slot of the board.
7. Play several rounds. The player who places all of his/her chips down first wins.
