Finding the Length of Tiles
Five square tiles of equal size are used to make a figure. The
length of each tile is 1. Find the perimeter of the figure.
Method 1. Count the number of sides on the outside. Mark a
starting point. Do not count a tile twice and do not skip
any tiles.

shown below. Find the perimeter of the square.
