Let’s find the factors of a number.
Arith. 1. Each player takes one mini-calculation board, one white number chip set, and
Match a color set of sixteen multiplication number chips.
2. Each player places nine white number chips and sixteen multiplication number
chips on his/her board.
3. Place the activity sheet in the middle of the table. Each player takes a game
piece and places it on Start on the activity sheet.
4. Decide who will go first. In each turn, the player rolls the die and move his/her
game piece the same number of spaces as the rolled number.
5. The player looks at the number where the game piece is moved to and writes
the multiplication number sentence that has the rolled number as a product.
Then find two numbers on the board that he/she wrote in the multiplication
sentence and place them face down. He/she cannot place the chips face down
if he/she cannot find the nubmers.
Example The game piece is move to: 15 15 = 1×15 or 15 = 3×5
or
15 = 1×15 15 = 3×5
6. Take turns playing the game. The player who places the chips face down
horizontally, vertically, or diagonally in two lines first wins. Note that the game
pieces move in the same direction until any player succeed in placing the chips
in two lines.
