P. 23
Materials: Pattern Finder board, Pattern finder, Chip,
Pattern cards (241-270), Game pieces, Die (0-9)
Find the patttern rule and guess the number or picture behind the chip.
Pattern 1. Each player selects a game piece and places it on Start of the Pattern Finder
Finder board.
2. Decide who will be the tagger and the player. The tagger selects one pattern
card and puts it into the pattern finder. Then place a chip on top of a cover 9.
3. The player rolls a die and the tagger opens the cover with the rolled number.
Note that if the rolled number is 0, open cover H and do not open any cover if
the rolled number is 9 or if the rolled number of a cover is already opened.
4. The player repeats step 3 until the player guesses the number or picture behind
the chip. The player says the number or the picture behind the chip and the
tagger opens the cover 9 to check.
5. Earn points as given below and move the player’s game piece.
• Guess correctly: Earn point as many as the closed covers and
move the game piece to the ‘+’.
• Guess incorrectly: Lose points as many as the opened covers and
move the game piece to the ‘−’.
6. Switch roles and play several rounds. The player who moves his/her game piece
further to the ‘+’ wins.
What would it I’m not sure
be behind the yet. I will roll
the die again.
