Figure 1. The approximate extent of the Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem, which ranges from Benguela
in southern Angola, along Namibia to the east of Algoa Bay on South Africa’s south coast. It is bounded in the north
by the Angola Current and in the east by the Agulhas Current. The atlas describes breeding localities and assesses
the numbers of marine turtles, seabirds, and seals around the coasts of Angola, Namibia, and South Africa, including
areas north of the BCLME in Angola and east of it in South Africa
