DEFINITIONS:
Viruses: Microorganism composed of genetic material protected by a protein
envelope, which causes various diseases by entering a cell as a parasite to reproduce
in it.
Pandemic: An epidemic disease that spreads to many countries or that attacks almost
all individuals in a locality or region.
Economy: System of production, distribution, trade and consumption of goods and
services of a society or a country.
Quarantine: Preventive isolation of people or animals in one place and for a period for
sanitary reasons.
Distance: Save distances. Do not allow someone familiarity in the deal.
Disease: Mild or severe alteration of the normal functioning of an organism or of any of
its parts due to an internal or external cause.
Cure: Treatment that is followed to cure or alleviate an illness, injury or physical
damage.
Contagion: Transmission of a disease by contact with the pathogen that causes it.
Prevention: Measure or provision taken in advance to prevent a thing considered
negative from happening.
Hospital: Establishment intended to provide all kinds of medical assistance, including
surgical operations and stay during recovery or treatment, and where medical research
and teaching are also practiced.
Nurse: A person whose job it is to assist or care for the sick, wounded or injured under
the prescriptions of a doctor, or to help the doctor or surgeon.
Order: Situation or state of normality or correct functioning of something, especially
harmony in human relationships within a community.
Health: A series of physical conditions in which a living being finds itself in a specific
circumstance or moment.
