FDCC MEETINGS / LOOKING BACK
were interested, she stayed until
the last picture was taken and the
last autograph was signed, as the
living embodiment of her mantra to
“Show Up.”
On Friday afternoon, as throughout
the week, members took in all
that Park City had to offer. Some
floated down the Provo River in
kayaks, tubes, and boats, enjoyed fly
fishing and horseback riding, while
others swam in the Homestead
Crater. There were Jeep tours in the
mountains and RTV excursions
offered. Olympic Park afternoons
included zip lines, rope courses,
and a mountain coaster. Members
also had the chance to make pizza
together, create works of art by glass
blowing, and tour the High West
Distillery followed by a tasting. A
week wasn’t long enough to capture
the wide variety of indoor and
outdoor activities Park City offers,
but who says we can’t come back
again?
Our final night was the FDCC’s first
“Mountain Mingle”—a relaxed
and joyful celebration that felt
more like an evening at a best
friend’s home than a formal gala.
Set against the stunning mountain
backdrop, members enjoyed a
casual backyard-style BBQ with
comfort food favorites, craft drinks,
music and plenty of laughter where
new friendships were cemented
and long-time bonds were
renewed. The evening reached a
spectacular finale with the FDCC’s
first-ever drone show, lighting
up the night sky in a dazzling
display of color and movement—a
perfect, memorable capstone to an
extraordinary week.
As we look back on this
extraordinary week in Park City,
we’re reminded that “going for
gold” isn’t just a theme—it’s a
mindset. The 2025 Annual Meeting
exemplified the Federation’s
commitment to excellence,
integrity, and collaboration. It was
our pleasure and a high honor to
have planned this meeting, and
we are grateful to President Heidi
Goebel for her unwavering support
and enthusiasm and for sharing
her beautiful hometown with us all.
Thank you to Bernie and Martha
and everyone on the Accolade
team, for their invaluable assistance
in bringing this meeting to life.
Most importantly, thank you to
everyone who attended. We hope
you left with lasting memories,
new friends, and plans to join us
at the next meeting. The Annual
Meeting in Park City is proof that
when the Federation gathers,
the combination of camaraderie,
connection, and genuine fun is
pure gold.
