 Looking Back
opted for more traditional dine- around options, three hundred and seventy (370) FDCC members and families fed giraffes, came face to face with penguins and wallabies, shared some delicious barbecue, and built relationships in a relaxing setting with stunning views. Itwaswonderfultosee everyone exploring and having fun (sorry about the rain). The magic of this event was apparent to our members:
• "Enjoyed a group planned dine around idea. Makes for more opportunities to network.”
• “Just the best!!!”
• “Fantastic in every way. Very
enjoyable!”
• “Again, this was a brilliant idea, and
it was a lot of fun!”
• “Loved this idea for the summer
meeting as a dine around option for people with kids/families. I am sure others enjoyed it as well, but made it a great option.”
• “This was the best event of the week! My kids absolutely loved it, and I was able to have fun while networking with other parents.”
• “I enjoyed this event as a dine around. Not only was it special to have the Zoo to ourselves, but it kept everyone included instead
of sometimes feeling alienated when you have to find people who are available/have room to dine around with. Also great when
you are at the meeting with your family.”
Our last night together offered a casual and fun Gala in a spectacular location. The low-key gala was a hit. Sitting atop a cliff overlooking what seemed to be all of Colorado, we enjoyed a delicious sit-down dinner, a rocking band, and some local astronomers who showed us planets, galaxies, nebula, and more. Attendees seemed to like it just fine:
