Seattle has a vibrant art community and is particularly known for its glass blowing. Dale Chihuly, who is probably the United States’ best known glass artist, is a long time Seattle resident. Not only will
there be a chance for you to try your hand at this craft in afternoon

activities, but we will provide you with inspiration early in the week at our President’s Reception, honoring Bob and Erin Christie, our President and First Lady, at the spectacular Chihuly Art Garden. This is an event you will not want to miss and a rare opportunity to dine, mix and mingle amongst some of Chihuly’s finest work.
There’s a reason so many television shows and movies are based in Seattle. The Annual Meeting offers infinite opportunities to explore thebeautifulPacificNorthwest andSeattle’scityattractions. Our downtownlocationatthenewly renovated Seattle Hyatt is the perfect central base for trips to the historic Pike Place Market and the original Starbucks, Nordstrom’s flagship store, the Space Needle, and is just blocks away from Amazon’s corporate headquarters campus. Ferries easily take you
to Lake Union with its beaches and Mt. Rainier is an easy day trip. From the Underground Tour to the
Center for Wooden Boats, to the Museum of Pop Culture, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
And...you will not want to miss
the FedCooks first ever cook-off, SizzlinginSeattle! Whileweare still finalizing the details, this Iron Chef style competition will pit head chefs Dan Kohane and Sean Griffin and their teams of FDCC sous chefs against each other in a battle for the best paella. The trash talking has already started. It promises
to be “dinner and a show.” This willbeaticketedeventwithboth generalattendanceandafewhighly covetedJudgetickets. Proceeds will benefit a local Seattle charity dedicated to feeding the homeless as well as benefit the FDCC.
