story of recovery and perseverance after a life-threatening automobile accident. Miranda’s presentation had so many wonderful messages including our favorite, “Eat the Cake, Buy the Dress, Take the Trip.”
Our second plenary speaker was Astronaut, Aquanaut and Artist Nicole Stott who amazed both the kids and adults in the room with her fascinating account of training to be an astronaut and her time in space. Nicole answered questions from the adults and then from our FDCC children. She was a fantastic speaker and guest. Nicole recently reached out to Casey to let him know how much she enjoyed speaking at our event and especially meeting our members and their children.

the effort Hollywood took in making a movie about his experience. Who wouldn’t one day want to have themselves be portrayed by the iconic Tom Hanks?

of the Barenaked Ladies to his current solo musical career, Steven explained the important events of his life and how his mental health suffered. He also told us how he got help. We appreciate the FDCC allowing us to serve as your Convention
and Program Chairs. We wanted
to create a meeting that provided attendees with ample opportunities for fellowship and networking while still delivering top-notch CLE. Thank you to all of our Substantive Law Sections for their valuable programs and inspirational speakers.
We are grateful to all of the hosts who helped throughout the meeting and to Bernie, Martha, Jessica and the rest of the executive team for all of their support. Special thanks to Chrissy Vessels for her outstanding work coordinating Registration.
We hope everyone enjoyed reuniting at The Greenbrier.
