FDCC PILLARS
There are truly many pillars of the Federation that are built upon the sturdy foundation of the past 85 years. Many of them have distinguished themselves through their service to the profession, as well as to the FDCC and its members – and continue doing so today.
At the 2021 Annual Meeting, President Michael Glascott presented the annual awards
to those who have selflessly given of their time and talents to further advance the Federation and who exemplify its brand of truly being “above and beyond”.
Joseph R. Olshan Award
is presented each year to the Chair of a Board Committee, Administrative Branch Committee or Project, initiative, or Ad Hoc Committee whose work has made the most outstanding contribution to the advancement of the Federation’s aspirational goals. It further epitomizes the organizational skills and dedication of Joseph R. Olshan together with his character, warmth, dedication and limitless contributions to the Federation. The award was presented to Jamie Huffman Jones of Friday, Eldredge & Clark in Little Rock Arkansas
for her leadership efforts with the Amicus & Public Policy Committee.
John Alan Appleman Award
honors the Substantive Law Section Chair who has made the most outstanding contribution to the advancement of the FDCC’s educational goals through the work of their Section. This year, the award is presented to Alycen Moss of Cozen O’Connor in Atlanta Georgia.
Andrew C. Hecker Award
is presented to the author of
the most outstanding article in FDCC Insights during the year. Marisa Trasatti of Wilson Elser in Baltimore, MD and Sciton, Inc., in Palo Alto, CA received the honors for her article on Human Trafficking.
