Dr. Derreck Kayongo, who founded the Global Soap Project and was the 2011 CNN Hero, told us his
story of survival, being the creator of change and humanitarian aid, and appreciating and using the opportunities that our Country offers. This marvelous man delivered a message of inspiration and his recipe for success.
Kile Turner reminded us of his mother’s profound instruction to always remember who we are, and to ensure that our self-awareness guides us through the tribulations that life presents.
Amanda Cialkowski shared the story of her brother’s near-death experience and the family’s story
of coping, bonding, and surviving when they found themselves on the brink of such loss.
Lee Hall brought us Dr. John Westerdahl, who served as a nutritionist to Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling, and he focused our attention on relatively easy and effective ways for us to improve our health through a wholesome diet.
