REMEMBER THIS SLIDE
LET'S CALCULATE GRASS
Grass: What formula fits?
Remember Ve = Ending Velocity / Vi = Initial Velocity
We Need VI – Initial Velocity Because we have Ve= 0 fps
We have Ve & distance so formula.
We can calculate Acceleration with a=f*g(Gravity) gravity is always 32.2ft/s2
So, Let’s use that formula a=f*G
We know in the grass coefficient of Friction is .045
a=.045*32.2
a=14.49fps2 (negative)
so, acceleration was 14.49fps2
It is asking for Vi or velocity at beginning of grass
Formula that works.
