Force-on-Force

Purpose - Professional Scenario Based Training Environment

                     • Testing

                       • Officers are placed in replicated real world situations where they have to interact with
human beings in a dynamic 360 degree environment, they are forced to make use-of-force
decisions based on feedback, i.e. ability, opportunity, jeopardy and manifested intent as
opposed to engaging pre-determined “bad guy” targets.

                     • Teaching

                       • Officers can be placed in slower, lower stress scenarios that are conducted at a pace
where they are able to respond consciously in order to develop cognitive skills. Training
can be conducted in a force-on-target environment and/or be paused during a force-on-
force scenario to ensure that he or she understands what just happened.

Admin - Professional Scenario Based Training Environment

                     • From an administrative perspective: this level of training affords an
agency or organization to include both command staff and legal

advisors in the training as observers affording them the opportunity

to either qualify their current training program and/or identify the
flaws and make the necessary policy corrections.
