Probate/ Contested Wills/ Heir Search

Beth Courrau is the Principal of Pinpoint Investigations, LLC based in Colorado Springs. She is a Legal

Investigator and a Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI-FTER). She conducts legal investigations for attorneys
in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense and probate.

Her work in the probate area has included investigating personal representatives being challenged, bedside
wills, forged wills, and contested wills ranging in value from $1 million to $40 million. Other cases have
probed the mental capacity of the decedent and required interviews of family and friends going back as far
as 10 to 40 years. She has also investigated the use of undue influence at the time the will was being drafted

and finalized. Beth also conducts heir searches often having to do with land issues. She has performed heir
searches with a starting point as far back as the late 1800s, to locating present-day heirs. It is the ultimate
rabbit hole.

Prior to becoming an investigator, she worked over 20 years on the technology side of systems that run
newspapers and television stations. She was the Director of Information Technology at the Gazette in
Colorado Springs and was the third generation in her family to work in the newspaper industry.
