2020 was not an ordinary year. In fact, it was an extraordinary year in Room 14. We started the year in a different class and then the building was gone. We love our new classroom, but we miss being able to open the doors to Room 15. We were so lucky at the beginning of the year to do so many fun activities, like Camp at School Night and swimming. We organised the very first school assembly of the year. Synchronised swimming was hilarious and a tremendous success. We were extremely fortunate to have gone on school camp the week before the first lockdown. Camp was lots of fun! Lockdown was not too bad either. We enjoyed the Zoom meetings, especially Mrs Lapuste reading a novel to us. Home learning was good, as well as catching up with friends. However, we preferred to be back to school. Maths was fun and challenging. Speeches were interesting and The Game Of Awesome was just... awesome! Novel studies were interesting and we worked well together. P.E. was best when we trained for Athletics or played games. Inquiry was engaging and allowed us to follow our curiosity. We loved the Art and STEAM activities. E-learning was always popular. We had a great Year 5!
