Participants will be taught various methods of investing in financial securities such as stocks and options, with an empirical focus on valuation(3 statement,
DCF), technical analysis using indicators, and quantitative pricing models. Participants will also be assigned a virtual portfolio which will allow them to apply their
knowledge to practical situations. Concepts in corporate finance such as financial markets, arbitrage, capital structure, and capital budgeting will also be discussed.
The activity will have 8 members at max. An investment and finance club will allow students looking to pursue a career in finance(or study finance at college) to
learn about key theory and get a headstart. The activity will also encourage sensible personal finance practices by teaching how to invest.
