in the craft are invited to take part. There is a $5 fee to cover the cost for frames and greens, but people are asked to bring along their own decorations for the wreath they create. The event will benefit the Plymouth Histor- ical Society, and pre-registration is required by calling Dick or Kathi Flanders at 455-2013.
On Saturday, Plymouth Rec- reation Department will also hold the Kids Outdoor Holi- day Bash at Plymouth Elemen- tary School for PES students in grades K-5 from noon until 2 p.m. Additional information on the Bash can be acquired by contacting the Rec. Department at 536-1397 where students can also register to participate in all the fun.
PSU will hold their annual Holiday Concert at the Silver Center from 4-5 p.m. that af- ternoon as well. Tickets for that event are $5 for adults, free for children under 12, and may be purchased by calling 536-2787 on online at plymouthstatetick- ets.universitytickets.com/.
Downtown businesses will also be welcoming holiday revelers to their stores from 4-5 p.m. while at 4:30, Tim Keefe will lead ev- eryone in a cheerful Holiday Carol Sing-a-Long at the Plym- outh Town Common.
The much-anticipated Hol- iday Parade will kick off soon after at 5 p.m. with illuminated floats, marching bands, walking contingencies, horses, dancers and more. Then, as the last of the entries make their way along Main St. in Plymouth, Santa will
roll through town to greet the crowds as well, courtesy of a ride from the Plymouth Fire-Rescue department.
Santa won’t be hurrying back to the North Pole however. In- stead, he and his elves will be waiting to meet all the good boys and girls beside a bonfire on Green Street shortly after the parade. Alex Ray of the Com- mon Man Family of Restaurants and the Plymouth Rotary will be there as well, selling burgers, hot dogs, cups of chowder and chili
for “family-friendly” prices at their “Chill Buster BBQ.” There will also be a one-dollar “Quick Line” for those just seeking a hot cup of coffee or cocoa to ward off the nighttime chill.
Finally, on Sunday, Santa will be at the PSU Ice Arena to skate with the public from 2-4 p.m. The event is free and while every- one is encouraged to bring their own ice skates, those who need skates will be accommodated at no charge. Santa will also take time out that day for photos with
his young friends.
Ending the busy weekend will
be a performance by the Pemi Choral Society at PSU’s Silver Center for the Arts. Their Win- ter Concert, “Snow Angels,” will take place from 3-5 p.m. on Sun- day. Admission to the concert is through free-will donations.
Organizers for the weekend advise that due to ongoing health concerns, masks will be required at most indoor events that week- end.
