July 2023
Newfound Lake Inn will be celebrating the Fourth of July weekend with its ribbon-cut- ting ceremony of SAL’s Birch Bar & Roof Deck on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
The public is invited to cele- brate the occasion and to expe- rience the beauty of Newfound
Lake on a summer day, the mouthwatering food of SAL’s Birch Bar, delicious cocktails, and breathtaking views from SAL’s Roof Deck.
Summerfest will begin at 1:00 p.m. with activities on the lawn, private beach, and of course, SAL’s Birch Bar & Roof Deck. Summerfest will conclude at 8:00 p.m. with a Comedy Show in the barn to follow.
SAL’s Birch Bar & Roof Deck has been an ongoing project since breaking ground on February 28, 2020. The naming of the new bar has sentimental meaning, named after the owner’s three daughters: Sara, Amy, and Laura.
Their aim is to provide lo- cals and travelers with year- round premium service, to create a fun social hotspot, and the most exquisite food in the
region by executive Chef Jen- nifer Moody. Their professional and welcoming restaurant staff ensure you have a memorable dining experience.

and it started with just two girls who liked to run and eat sticky buns. When COVID hit, RYBO was lucky enough to have some money saved up, so they made it their mission to give back even more. They hosted a mobile food pantry for the community, and it was a fantastic event. Goudie told me that people who came to the food drive didn’t even have to get out of their cars, and
there were no questions asked. All they wanted to do was make sure families had food on their tables. RYBO will partner with the New Hampshire Food Bank once again to put on that mobile food pantry sometime this win- ter. The New Hampshire Food Bank will also serve as the RYBO beneficiary, and the money raised from the race this year will go to the next mobile food bank.
When asked about how she feels about the event and the community, Goudie stated, “The Newfound community is just so giving, and we love where we live. We want to bring everyone together in good health, so the runners and the families come together to con- tribute to Run Your Buns Off, and we use that to give back to the community.” Sound like
