Children’s Auction Receives $30,000 Award from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Award For Greater Lakes Region Charitable Fund for Children
LACONIA — The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auc- tion has received a $30,000, three-year grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Founda- tion’s (NHCF) award for The Greater Lakes Region Chari- table Fund for Children. The funds—$10,000 each year for three years—will help the orga- nization upgrade its technology and increase its ability to raise more funds for kids in need.
“We are so thrilled,” said
Children’s Auction Executive Director Jennifer Kelley, noting this year’s allotment will be used for an IT upgrade. “The im- provements will allow us to invest in technology and equipment that will deliver a better auction experience as well as allow us to create an online grant process that is more streamlined for our nonprofits.
Kelley added, “We are very grateful to the NH Charitable Foundation and its donors for its
generosity and for selecting the Auction as a grant recipient. It’s our mission to help further the work of area nonprofits that sup- port children and families, and this gift will make it easier for us
to raise funds while streamlining the grant application process for more than 70 nonprofits.”
The award was made pos- sible by gifts from the Annalee Davis Thorndike Fund, Rogers
Family Trust Fund and the Thomas S. Gale Fund.
