ENVIRONMENTS SUPPORTIVE OF DINING ENJOYMENT –
Small – Dining with a small group of friends, in a room that looks and
feels just right for dining with friends.
Private – A table of choice, a view of choice, table mates of choice, just the right amount of companionship.
Responsive – Relationship-based service, refrigerator rights, 24/7 accessibility...the common theme is responsiveness, and just the right amount of attention – not hovering, just quiet attention to every need.
Quiet – Not distracting, yet not deafening in its silence; the sounds of home can be both comforting and stimulating to appetite, just the right amount of chatter and clanging, just like home.
Community – It’s the relationships again, elder to elder, elder to caregiver, elder to family, caregiver to family. Community is all about the people in our lives. The right amount of fellowship, and the right relationships, makes dining all it can be.
How can we define excellence in quality service and environment?
We can envision it individually, we can reflect on it as a team, and then we can make it happen.
