Rooms and spaces in our homes are associated with different degrees of privacy. For instance, the front porch or the foyer is a public space where you may receive a delivery person whom you do not know. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the bathroom is a place where we expect we can be alone. Areas like the kitchen or living room, depending on the rules of your house, can be open to varying degrees of acquaintances, friends and family.
As a group, make a list of rooms found in a residence and decide together if each room is public (anyone), semi-public (guests), semi-private (close friends and family members) or private (for those who live in the residence only).
