The personal transformation starts with an inkling that things could be better for elders living in long-term care facilities. The inkling turns into certainty but facing the problem is overwhelming and the individual struggles to see how things could be changed. Soon, however, a moral epiphany that elders must have home bolsters support and the individual finds he or she must find a way to make it happen. Publicly or privately, the individual makes a declaration of his or her epiphany. He or she becomes a leader of change and commits to making leaders of others.
