k. Foreign/International Student Services. The university
provides assistance to address the needs of foreign students.
l. Scholarships and Financial Assistance Services (SFAS). The
University offers several scholarship and assistance programs
to deserving students. The selection of grantees is in
accordance with the policies and guidelines of the university
and the sponsoring agencies.
The Scholarship Unit of the Office of Student Affairs and Services takes
charge of processing and monitoring of all scholarships and other grants
which are classified as:
A. Merit Scholarship. Exemplary / meritorious scholastic performance of a
student or by virtue of his impressive talents and skills that contribute to
the academic community.
1. Entrance Scholarship. This is given to entering freshmen who
graduated with highest honors with an average grade of 98 to 100%
from a public or private high school. It is availed for one semester
only.
2. University Scholarship. This is given to a student who obtained a
GWA of at least 1.5 at the end of a regular term and who carries at
least 15 academic load for the term.
3. College Scholarship. This is given to a student who obtained a GWA
of at least 1.75 at the end of a regular term and who carries at least
15 academic load for the term.
4. Sports/Athletic Scholarship. This is awarded to athletes who:
5.1. Carry a minimum academic load of 15 units;
