Financial To Do’s
3-month download into the Spending Assessment
1. To complete the 3-month download, you will first need to go to your bank and/or credit card online accounts and choose the most recent one-month time period to download (e.g. Jan 1- Jan 31) to your computer using an Excel or .csv option.
2. Review the video below for which columns to keep and whether there are adjustments to be made prior to copying into the Spending Assessment.
3. Copy/paste the data (4 columns only) to the appropriate month tab (e.g. Month 1 – renamed to the month) and categorize the entries using the 5th column.
4. Repeat steps 2-3 two more times for the months prior to the most recent and paste into the Month 2 and Month 3 tabs in the Spending Assessment.
5. Save the Spending Assessment in your “Financial” folder and name it with your last name + Spending Assessment + date (example - Jones Spending Assessment Jan 2020.xls).
