                                                                                Membership & Registry
Dr Duru Shah took over as Chair of ASPIRE’s Membership and Registry Committee in 2021 with the responsibility to increase the visibility of ASPIRE and attract more members.
This has involved regular discussions with the ASPIRE President and Board before implementing particular initiatives.
“The first action was to reduce the annual subscription fee, and I am delighted to inform that to the end of 2022 we have been able to increase our membership by 62 per cent,” Dr Shah said.
“We have also increased the profile of ASPIRE in all member countries, and with the support of the Education Committee we have presented a growing number of webinars and master classes.
“We are now ready to host the ASPIRE regional meeting in Bengaluru, India in June in collaboration with the PCOS Society of India, ISAR and KISAR, and I hope this in turn will bring in many more members.
“ASPIRE has also introduced discounted memberships to allied disciplines of assisted reproductive technology to include embryologists and nurses.
“With the support of the Accreditation Committee, we also present certificate courses to update knowledge and skills.”
Membership discounts have been offered for individuals from any country if they attend the ASPIRE annual conference as a group with the bonus of round table meetings and one-on-one interaction with selected experts.
“I thank President TC Li and the Board Members of ASPIRE for giving me this opportunity,” Dr Shah said.
Industry and External Relations
The Industry and External Relations Committee has a vital communications role in the advancement of research and fertility services in the region.
Committee Chair, Professor Chii-Ruey Tzeng, said engagement with the other professional organisations, including ESHRE and ASRM, was an important component of the work to promote exchange sessions and presentations from world leaders in assisted reproduction.
