to coronavirus Class B
By Professor Junhao Yan Country Representative
On 27 December 2022, the National Health Commission issued a notice entitled The Novel Coronavirus Infection Class B Epidemic Monitoring Program.
With the adjustment of epidemic policies, China has emerged from strict COVID-19 lockdown measures and academic activities have basically returned to normal.
However, many people who are planning to conceive continue to worry about the threat of COVID-19 infection and they are naturally anxious about the well- being of their offspring.
Professionals in the field of assisted conception have prepared a document entitled Suggestions For The Management of Human Assisted Reproductive Technology Under The Measures of Novel Coronavirus Infection Class B (First Edition).
It was produced under the guidance of academic, Zi-Jiang Chen, with contributions from experts from domestic assisted reproductive specialties involving clinical gynaecology, clinical andrology, embryology and nursing.

They took into account epidemic prevention and control requirements in various provinces and cities and collected evidence-based medical data for assisted reproductive technology, pregnancy and COVID-19 infection from Chinese and foreign literature.
Meanwhile, multiple academic conferences have been held recently to address issues relating to reproductive medicine in China.
Topics have included fertility management for women with different diseases. Abundant resources have been provided for obstetrics and gynaecology workers at all levels across the country.
