the bill and defending the process before allowing any discussion. The meetings were very one sided with the staff attorney claiming that his opinions were absolutely beyond question.
Parliamentary procedures were manipulated by the staff attorney.
At the second BOD meeting, a Past President asked the minutes to be corrected because they stated that the LEG/REG committee voted to “continue” to support SB2624. This motion was not correct, but the Past President’s motion to correct the minutes was denied.
Fifteen Past Presidents, who devoted many years of their lives to the growth and betterment of our association, are deeply troubled by the conduct of staff, the LAT, and the leadership team during this legislative session. We are major investors, have been or currently are President’s Circle, and in the RPAC Hall of Fame. Some Past Presidents have traveled the state for years, promoting advocacy and RPAC support. If you research the exceptional growth of our Fair Share Participation and the number of major donors, you will see the results of Past Presidents’ efforts. I sincerely believe that if the actions of the LAT, the leadership team, and staff go unchecked and our legislative procedures are not reviewed by a third party for violations, many Past Presidents will withdraw their support. We have been vilified and portrayed as traitors as we have called for approved processes and procedures to be followed. There is no one on the state level to review these actions; therefore, we hope NAR will offer assistance so that our deeply divided association may be healed and unified.
Thank you!
