 Some Arizona SAR Chapters have moved to new meeting locations due to Covid closures.
Here’s a Current Listing:
With the ongoing Covid impacts finding
meeting location with an adequate meeting room has become challenging for Chapters. Here is an update on present plans. They are always subject to change so before you head out check with the Chapter President or Secretary.
Barry M. Goldwater SAR Chapter
They will start to meet at the Mimi’s Cafe at Desert Ridge Shopping Center effective with their September 11, 2021 meeting. The address is 21001 N Tatum Blvd just north of the 101. They meet on the second Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m.
The Colorado River SAR Chapter
Meetings are held virtually due to the distances in the Chapter’s region. They will hold meetings using Microsoft Teams, usually starting at 11 a.m. the third Saturday of the months of January, March, May, September and November. All Compatriots, prospective members and guests are invited to attend. Contact either Chapter President Jeff Corwin or Sec./Trea., George Cole for information.
The Palo Verde SAR Chapter
Is now meeting at the Mesa Doubletree Hilton at 1011 W Holmes Ave, Mesa for their regular Chapter meetings. They also meet on the second Saturday of the month (Sep — June) at 8:30 a.m. Their formal meeting begins at 9 a.m. The cost to attendees is $20.
The Saguaro SAR Chapter
Is planning to meet at Chef Peter’s Bistro at 17300 North Sun Village Parkway in Surprise. Their meetings will be held the fourth Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m., October through May, except in December when it will be the second Saturday.
The Phoenix SAR Chapter
Continues to meet weekly on Tuesdays noon at the Miracle Mile Delicatessen at 4433 N 16th Street in Phoenix .
The Prescott SAR Chapter
Meets at the Hassayampa Inn, 122 E Gurley Street, Prescott, Arizona on the second Saturday of the month at 12 :00 noon (except for Jul/Aug/ Nov).
The Rim Country SAR Chapter
Meetings are held monthly on the third Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m. at Tiny's Restaurant, located on the north side of Highway 260 in Payson, Arizona, about a quarter mile east of the intersection of Highway 87 and Highway 260.
The Tucson SAR Chapter
Meetings are held on the fourth Saturday of the month except during the summer (June - August) and when there is a conflicting State meeting (February, April and November). We meet for breakfast and an informative talk from 9 to 11 a.m. at the American Legion Morgan McDermott Post 7, 330 W. Franklin St., Tucson.
President Baran was awarded these items for having his birthday closest to PG Manning at the 131st Congress in Renton, Washington in July.
