Arizona Society Color Guard Seeking New Participants
The SAR Color Guard of the 21st century is primarily ceremonial in terms of purpose and duty. The SAR Color Guard is one our most visible symbols in our communities and are always a fan favorite in parades and activities.
With the 250th Anniversary of the United States coming up in 2026 the Color Guard will be critical to our outreach efforts.
Arizona SAR Color Guard Commander David Bonnett is looking for Arizona Compatriots who have an interest in becoming active in SAR Color Guard activities. There are Color Guard members at the Chapter level and the State level and members are encouraged to become involved.
If you are a new member of SAR in Arizona and have an interest in knowing more about the Color Guard and it’s activities either
talk to your Chapter president of contact David Bonnett. (His email is available on the State website membership register.)
Most Chapters have used uniform elements available to new members to begin to assemble their uniforms so talk to your Chapter President and/or SAR Color Guard Commander Bonnett.
If you were a member of the Color Guard previously and can no longer participate but would like to donate your uniform or portions of it to the Arizona Society Color Guard either let David Bonnett know.
Arizona SAR Color Guard members represent the Society in many events throughout the year. They’re our most visible outreach at the community level.
