Sardine
Period: Eocene
Age: 54-37 million years
Region: Green River Formation, Wyoming, USA
Sardines live in shoals. Several sardines have been petrified at the same time in this
54 to 37-million-year fossil. The fossil is evidence that sardines were created in a sin-
gle moment, together with all their characteristics, and that they have not altered over
tens of millions of years.
The head structure, the small fins on top of and underneath its body and the forked
tail can all be seen very clearly in the fossil. Like all life forms in the universe, sardi-
nes are the work of our Omniscient and Almighty Lord.
