This fossil trilobite is 480 million years old and dates back
to the Ordovician Period. It was unearthed in Russia.
The antennae on the upper part of the trilobite’s head are
thought to both serve as a nose or olfactory organ and also
enabled the animal to perceive what was going on around it.
