Ribes that lived some 23 million years in the past were identical to speci-
mens living today. Glorious currants looked the same 23 million years ago
as they do now. As can clearly be seen in fossils, these organisms’ leaves,
fruits, seeds and roots have never changed. They are just one of the milli-
ons of obstacles standing in the way of the theory of evolution.
