QURAN: The hypocrites think they deceive Allah, but He is
deceiving them. When they get up to pray, they get up lazily,
showing off to people, and only remembering Allah a very lit-

tle. (Surat an-Nisa, 142)

It is fear of God that draws people close to God, not the
flesh of sacrificed animals:

GOSPEL: ... Some people are still so accustomed to idols that
when they eat such food they think of it as having been sac-

rificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak, it is de-
filed. But food does not bring us near to God... (1 Corinthians,
8:7-8)

QURAN: Their flesh and blood does not reach Allah but your
heedfulness does reach Him. In this way He has subjected them
to you so that you might proclaim Allah's greatness for the way
that He has guided you. Give good news to the good-doers.
(Surat al-Hajj, 37)
