Strange ceremonies performed in places dedicated to the name of Buddha demon-
strate the perversity of Buddhist beliefs. In these pagan ceremonies, stone statues
of Buddha are worshipped, even though they have no power to do either good or
harm. It is irrational to expect assistance from these statues, but those brainwashed
by Buddhist teachings reach the point where they cannot recognize plain nonsense.
