tions, do we not everywhere see innumerable transitional forms? Why is
not all nature in confusion instead of the species being, as we see them,
well defined?… But, as by this theory innumerable transitional forms
must have existed, why do we not find them embedded in countless num-
bers in the crust of the earth?… Why then is not every geological formation
and every stratum full of such intermediate links? Geology assuredly does
not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and this, perhaps, is the
most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory. 73
Darwin's Hopes Shattered
However, although evolutionists have been making strenuous efforts
to find fossils since the middle of the nineteenth century all over the world,
no transitional forms have yet been uncovered. All of the fossils, contrary
to the evolutionists' expectations, show that life appeared on Earth all of a
sudden and fully-formed.
One famous British paleontologist, Derek V. Ager, admits this fact,
even though he is an evolutionist:
The point emerges that if we examine the fossil record in detail, whether at the
level of orders or of species, we find – over and over again – not gradual evo-

The fossil record is a great barricade in front of the theory of evolution. The fos-
sil record shows that living species emerged suddenly and fully-formed without
any evolutionary transitional form between them. This fact is evidence that
species are created separately.
