Sadhus (Hindu ascetics) are Hindus
who abandon the established order
and their families and who begin liv-
ing in the streets in order to draw
closer to the so-called Brahman. This
Hindu tradition encourages idleness
and laziness instead of hard work in
this world, and condemns people to
live under very primitive conditions.
Yet the moral values of Islam encour-
age people towards dynamism, to
strive to attain ever more pleasant
things, and to perform deeds that will
be beneficial to others. In contrast to
the dark and dirty world of Hinduism,
that of Islam encourages a clean, en-
lightened and peace-filled life.
