A Call for Unity

yourselves. Call on them and let them respond to you, if
you are telling the truth. (Surat Al-A'raf: 194)

The Gospel

They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served
created things rather than the Creator – Who is forever praised.
(Romans, 1: 25)
Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that 'no idol
in the world really exists', and that 'there is no God but One.'
[Allah is beyond this] (1 Corinthians , 8: 4)
Little children, keep yourselves from idols.(1 John, 5: 21)
The rest of humankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not
repent of the works of their hands or give up worshipping demons
and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which
cannot see or hear or walk. (Revelation, 9: 20)

The Torah

What use is an idol once its maker has shaped it a cast image, a
teacher of lies? For its maker trusts in what has been made, though
the product is only an idol that cannot speak! Alas for you who say
to the wood, 'Wake up!' to silent stone, 'Rouse yourself!' Can it
teach? See, it is plated with gold and silver, and there is no breath in
it at all. (Habakkuk, 2: 18-19)
