THEY DO NOT FEAR DYING OR
BEING KILLED IN THE WAY OF ALLAH
Allah has bought from the believers their selves and their wealth
in return for the Garden. They fight in the Way of Allah and they
kill and are killed. It is a promise binding on Him in the Torah,
the Gospel and the Qur'an and who is truer to his contract than
Allah? Rejoice then in the bargain you have made. That is the great
           victory. (Qur'an, 9:111)
He (Pharaoh) said, 'Have you believed in him before I authorised
you? He is your chief who taught you magic. But you will soon
know! I will cut off your alternate hands and feet and I will crucify
every one of you.' They said, 'We do not care! We are returning to
           our Lord. (Qur'an, 26:49-50)
So let those who sell the life of this world for the hereafter fight in
the Way of Allah. If someone fights in the Way of Allah, whether
he is killed or is victorious, We will pay him an immense reward.
           (Qur'an, 4:74)
If you are killed in the Way of Allah or if you die, forgiveness and
mercy from Allah are better than all that they amass. If you die or
you are killed, it is to Allah that you will be gathered. (Qur'an,
           3:157-158)
You who believe! Do not be like those who do not believe and say
of their brothers, when they are going on journeys or military
expeditions, 'If they had only been with us, they would not have
died or been killed,' so that Allah can make that anguish for them
in their hearts. It is Allah Who gives life and causes to die. Allah
sees what you do. (Qur'an, 3:156)
Do not suppose that those killed in the Way of Allah are dead. No
indeed! They are alive and well provided for in the very presence
of their Lord, delighting in the favour Allah has bestowed on them,
rejoicing over those they left behind who have not yet joined them,
feeling no fear and knowing no sorrow, (Qur'an, 3:169-170)
