Page 2 - Devoted to Allah
P. 2
Muslim is actually the name Allah gives to those who adhere to
His religion. The basic attribute, referred to in the Qur’an, that dis-
tinguishes Muslims from other people is their absolute awareness of
Allah’s infinite might.
Grasping Allah’s might is not only a matter of verbal confirma-
tion. Believers are those who recognize Allah’s existence and His
greatness, love Him and fear Him, “are steadfast in their duty” to
Him and re-orient all their deeds and conduct in the light of this re-
ality which has become apparent to them. This book provides an ex-
plicit picture of a believer devoted to Allah as described in the
Qur'an It must be remembered that Paradise is the abode of those
who “believe with certainty” in Allah and the Hereafter and then
“strive with all due striving” in the way of Allah. The end of those
who “worship Allah right on the fringe of true faith” and place their
trivial interests on the same footing as the pleasure of Allah is de-
scribed thus in the Qur'an:
Among the people there are some who profess to serve Allah
but who stand on the very fringe of good faith. If good befalls
them, they are content, but if an ordeal befalls them, they re-
vert to their former ways, losing both this world and the
Hereafter. That way true perdition lies. (Surat al-Hajj, 11)
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Adnan Oktar, who writes under the pen-name Harun
Yahya, was born in Ankara in 1956. Since the 1980s,
the author has published many books on faith-re-
lated, scientific and political issues. He is well-known
as the author of important works disclosing the im-
posture of evolutionists, their invalid claims, and the
dark liaisons between Darwinism and such bloody
ideologies as fascism and communism.
All of the author’s works share one single goal: to convey the Qur'an's message,
encourage readers to consider basic faith-related issues such as Allah's exis-
tence and unity and the Hereafter; and to expose irreligious systems' feeble
foundations and perverted ideologies. His more than 300 works, translated into
72 different languages, enjoy a wide readership across the world.
By the will of Allah, the books of Harun Yahya will be a means through which
people in the twenty-first century will attain the peace, justice, and happiness
promised in the Qur'an.
