Book as their only guide. During the
Cultural Revolution, they overwhelmed
the country with blood and fear.
Propaganda posters also depicted the
Red Guards' barbarism. In the poster at
top, university professors, arrested and
tortured by the Red Guards, are depicted
as parasites that degenerate society.
