Age: 45 million years old
Size: 7 millimeters (0.2 in) in diameter
Location: Baltic, Kaliningrad, Russia
Period: Eocene
Aphids belonging to the family Pemphigidae
are wingless. Their primary host plants are
trees, and sometimes herbaceous plants.
The aphid larva pictured is 45 million years
old. Aphids and their larvae have remained
the same for all that time, demolishing all
the claims of the theory of evolution.
