Period: Cretaceous, Albian
The nautilus has survived for about 300
million years and has preserved its
physiological structure during all that
time. The fossil shown here is of a 114-
million-year-old nautilus. The fact that the
creature has not changed for hundreds of
millions of years is living proof that
evolution never happened.
