In 1993, Stephen Jay Gould wrote in the magazine Natural History about the way living species
can be observed to have exactly the same characteristics throughout the fossil record:
Stasis, or nonchange of most fossil species during their lengthy geological lifespans, was tacitly ac-
knowledged by all paleontologists, but almost never studied explicitly because prevailing theory
treated stasis as uninteresting nonevidence for nonevolution . . . [T]he overwhelming prevalence of
stasis became an embarrassing feature of the fossil record, but left ignored as a manifestation of noth-
ing (that is, nonevolution). (S. J. Gould, “Cordelia’s Dilemma”, Natural History, February, p. 10-18)
The only reason why evolutionists refer to the stasis in the fossil record as “embarrassing” is
that if living things experience no changes, that invalidates the theory of evolution. This infor-
mation, which shows that evolution never happened, is evidence for the fact of Creation.
