Qarada, Talha bought a well and donated it to the faithful. At that time,
buying and donating a well was an act of enormous generosity. By him-
self, he fed the combatants during the Battle of 'Usra. His daily income
was a thousand pieces of gold. He watched over the orphaned, met the
needs of the poor, and helped the helpless. He gave money to the needy.
All of the needs of the Banu Taym [tribe] were met with his help. Talha
