            sitive and successful in perceiving sensory data as are the eye and the
            ear. However, as far as seeing and hearing are concerned, a far greater
            truth lies beyond all this.


                 To Whom Does the Consciousness that

                      Sees and Hears within the Brain
                                        Belong?
                 Who watches an alluring world in the brain, listens to symphonies
            and the twittering of birds, and smells the rose?
                 The stimulations coming from a person's eyes, ears, and nose travel
            to the brain as electro-chemical nerve impulses. In biology, physiology,





                                           Light cannot pass through the skull. The
                                             physical area in which the brain is lo-
                                              cated is completely dark, and light
                                               cannot possibly penetrate it.
                                                However, incredible as it may seem,
                                                 it is possible to observe a bright
                                                 and colorful world in this total
                                                 darkness. Colorful natural beauty,
                                                 the brightness of the Sun, people
                                                walking on a busy road are all cre-
                                                 ated in the dark brain. It is a pro-
                                                  found mystery that, in the
                                                  darkness of the brain, the electri-
                                                  cal signals turn into colorful,
                                                 bright visions. It is Allah, the
                                                Creator of all things, Who shows
                                               these images to our soul, Who per-
                                              mits it to hear all sounds, and Who cre-
                                             ates scents and tastes for it to take
                                           pleasure from.
